The Bendigo PRIDE Festival is a community initiated and run event that celebrates, explores and promotes diversity and inclusion within the Loddon Malle Region with particular focus on LGBTIQA+ communities and people. Providing platform for LGBTIQA+ artists, social-changers and culture-makers from regional and rural areas, the festival offers space for intersection between generations, people, ideas, stories and experiences, creating focal point for connection and belonging for all communities in the region.
Organised by the long standing volunteer lead Bendigo Queer Film Festival, with the support of Thorne Harbour Country, headspace Bendigo and MILK Queer Party, the festival presents a month long program that includes a variety of events that everyone in the rainbow can enjoy - from family days, to dance parties, to art exhibitions, to comedy nights, to picnic in the park, football matches, theatre, music and spoken word performance, as well of course, the latests and greatest queer films selected from the Melbourne Queer Film Festival that are set to form the Bendigo Queer Film Festival itself.
